If you’re thinking of escaping to southwest Cornwall for a relaxing break, consider staying at Rosewall Cottage. It’s located in the hamlet of Halsetown and is just two miles from St Ives, a thriving harbour town that’s one of the top tourist destinations in all of Cornwall. The property is a semi-detached stone house set among a scenic part of the hamlet. It has one comfortable double bed-room and one twin bedroom and can accommodate up to four people.

There’s a single bathroom on the ground floor complete with shower, wash basin and toilet, while the kitchen is suitably equipped and offers everything you’d need for a stay here. Both the living and dining areas are very cosy, with an electric stove provided so you can unwind on even the coldest of nights. In summer time guests can make use of the outdoor furniture in the rear gar-den, which has its own BBQ facilities. Off-road parking is available. If you’re travelling with more than four people, you may be able to book the adjoining property by arrangement with Sykes Cot-tages; together they accommodate eight people.

One of the benefits of staying here is the fact that the property is set in a particularly rural area, yet it’s still quite close to the coast. You don’t need to venture far from the house to discover the idyllic country landscapes that Cornwall is known for. While staying here, be sure to visit Land’s End, the southernmost point of mainland UK. It takes around 50 minutes or so to get there by car, but it’s well worth the journey. A bit closer to home is the popular seaside resort of St Ives and the fine beaches that stretch along the northern coast of Cornwall.
