Perfect for people who love rustic Essex weather-boarded properties, this two bedroom semi-detached holiday home stands on lawns, in farmland, overlooking a well-stocked coarse fishing lake.

The black timbers on the outside of this holiday home are typical of barns in this part of northwest Essex. The open-plan living quarters incorporate a sitting room, a kitchen and a dining area. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, one of which is a double and the second a twin. There is also the possibility of sleeping an extra person in a king-size bed on the gallery overlooking the living accommodation. Access is obtained via a feature spiral staircase.

Floors are tiled, made cosier by a scatter rug in the seating area. Enjoy relaxing in front of the French doors and picture windows with lovely views of the garden and patio beyond. A garden table and chairs are an attractive place to barbecue outside in the fresh air on warm days.

The property has under-floor heating which is always pleasant to walk on in bare feet. The kitchen area contains appliances such as dishwasher, refrigerator, combination washing machine and dryer and all essential self-catering utensils and equipment. You might not plan to produce lavish meals but you might wish to cook a hearty breakfast on the electric hob to keep you going whilst fishing or exploring Essex.

A modern family bathroom has a shower fitted over a full-size bath and the usual washbasin and toilet.

There is space for two vehicles immediately outside the holiday barn. So that you will have no concerns about parking.

Nearby tourist attractions include Audley End House and Gardens, Duxford Air Museum and Shows and the historic town of Saffron Walden. Cambridge is within easy distance via the Park and Ride.
