About this former mill house for up to 6 guests in North Yorkshire

There is a beautiful three bedroom two bathroom rural cottage near Great Ayton on the north western outreach of the Yorkshire Moors. Converted from a former textile processing building, this lovely country cottage in Pinchinthorpe is a fabulous place for a holiday in north Yorkshire. It stands surrounded by green fields and open farmland. The approach to the cottage is via a gravel driveway with plenty of space for parking cars. A garden table and chairs to seat six people and a barbecue stand on the neat patio to the front of the house and wide doors open into the kitchen diner. An oak Shaker kitchen surrounds a Rangemaster cooker and is really the heart of this country home. Eat at the oak dining table and relax over a coffee at breakfast before going out to walk in the Yorkshire Moors or drive to the Yorkshire coast at Staithes or Runswick Bay, 40 minutes away. A log burner and the Rangemaster stove keep this cottage really cosy in addition to the central heating.
The décor inside the cottage could be described as tasteful and traditional with solid oak floors throughout most rooms. The spacious living room has comfortable sofas, a rug and a baby grand piano that could add a joyful note to any family holiday should guests know how to play.
Elegant antique furniture graces the oak floored bedrooms. There are lovely views of the Yorkshire countryside from the bedrooms and this is a peaceful area where it is easy to sleep.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath and a shower cubicle. The second bedroom is also king-size plus there is a twin bedroom with two single beds. An additional bathroom is fitted with a bath and a shower attachment overhead.
This cottage would suit any people who like to be ‘out in the sticks'. The half mile concrete road leading to the cottage passes through woodland as it travels uphill. WiFi means that guests can still keep in touch via their electronic devices. There is a TV and the usual collection of books and board games.
Great Ayton is nearby for shops, pubs and general amenities. Guests may wish to visit the Captain Cook Museum and find out about his home town and life before his great expeditions.
Nearby attractions include Castle Howard, a National Trust house and gardens at Nunnington Hall and two theme parks.
Walkers may wish to be aware of the Centenery Way and Ebor Way way-marked trails.
