An open market is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays in The Market Place. Wells has all modrn conveniences, charm and some interesting shops, with plenty of resturants and pubs for eating out. Wells is also host to one of the best illuminated carnivals, and is held in November. Nearby you can visit Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Caves and Glastonbury, famous for the Glastonbury Festival held in June, and with Bath, Weston-Super-Mare and Longleat not too far away either you will find The Old Milking Parlour an ideal base for the West Country. |
