Self catering holidays in Thessaly

Thessaly is also known by the name of Thessalia.  Located south of Greek Macedonia, Thessaly is situated in central northern mainland Greece.  Thessaly isn’t a typical Greek holiday destination but those that make the trip get the opportunity to discover unspoilt Greece.  The landscape of Thessaly is a mix of terrain ranging from mountains to flat plains around Trikala and Larissa.  One notable place within Thessaly that attracts people from far and wide is Meteora.  Meteora with its amazing unusual high peaks is an amazing place to visit and although quite a journey from Athens, it is a journey that many consider well worth making.  Meteora is a unique place for self catering holidays.
