Danbury in Essex is an affluent town situated between Chelmsford, Maldon and Bicknacre. It boasts a wooded common for ramblers, several woods such as Blakes Wood where there are superb bluebell displays in early May, several small lakes, an outdoor pursuits centre, conference facilities and a village green. There is a string of high class shops along the high street including fashion and sportwear. The tea shop overlooking the green is well worth a visit.
