Connemara National Park covers almost 3,000 hectares of bog and heath rising from the coast to the twelve Ben Mountains. Anyone interested in wild flowers or wildlife will find plenty to excite them in the national park - including orchids, carniverous plants, soaring kestrels and the occasional merlin or peregrine.
