Walkers' Farm Cottages are in the heart of Somerset with wonderful views over the Somerset levels and the surrounding hills. They lie in the quiet hamlet of Stathe between Burrowbridge and Stoke St. Gregory. The cottages are converted to the highest standards from stabling and farm buildings. They are light and airy and come fully equipped. The Hackney Stable, rated disabled mobility 2, has been redesigned for comfortable living accommodation with large brick arched windows giving beautiful views across Sedgemoor. It is situated at ground floor level to facilitate wheelchair access, with a wheel-in shower. It has a light airy relaxing atmosphere, fully fitted kitchen, iron, TV, fridge and washing machine. Other disability features include: electric sockets at waist level, easy taps, no steps or ramps. The Tallet is an old Somerset name for a loft The steps to the loft are retained but only used now in cases of emergency escape! The Tallet, diabled level I, has been redesigned for high comfort living accommodation. It is situated on the first floor (up four steps only) affording magnificent views over Sedgemoor through its large windows. It has a light airy relaxing atmosphere and comes equipped with comfortable sofas and chairs and a fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave oven, iron, TV, fridge and washing machine. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. All bedding, sheets and towels are provided.

Local attractions: Vist the web site for suggestions of places to visit. The hamlet of Stathe lies between the villages of Burrowbridge known for the Mump" and Stoke St. Gregory (with its Willows and Wetlands Visitor Centre). This area is the heart of the award-winning willow craft industry where willow is grown, stripped, boiled and fashioned into baskets and cane furniture. It is also part of the old cider-making area. Local walks include the River Parrett Trail and MacMillan Way but we keep maps and details of many trails from small strolls to longer hikes on the Quantock Hills. Why not walk to one of our local pubs or restaurants in Stoke St. Gregory or North Curry. Come here to experience real peace and tranquillity, see the stars in the clear night sky and get up to the dawn chorus. Experience bird watching on the Levels (the RSPB reserve of West Sedgmoor, the Parrett estuary). Visit local gardens including Hestercombe, Barrington Court, Montacute House. Walk in the Mendip and Quantock Hills or on Exmoor, or visit Wookey Hole Caves, Wells Cathedral and Glastonbury Tor. Taunton, Langport,
Burrowbridge and Stoke St. Gregory, and Curry Rivel are all within easy driving distance for day trips. 1 hr drive accross coutry to south coast and Lyme
Regis.

For the Arts there is Strode Theatre, Brewhouse Theatre, Bridgwater Arts Centre, and the Tacchi-Morris Centre. Several museums including: County Museum, Haynes Motor Museum, Fleet Air Arm. Slightly further afield, suggestions for day trips are: Clarks Village, Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge and Caves, West Somerset Railway, Dunster Castle, Wells Cathedral, Glastonbury Tor and Abbey, Burnham-on-sea, Cricket St. Thomas wildlife park.
