Ruthin is a beautiful county town and a community located in the county of Denbighshire community in north Wales. The older part of the town is located in the southern part of the Vale of Clwyd, around a hill. The name of the town was derived from Welsh words “rhudd” and “din”, which means red fort. The town is popular for its old town charm and pleasant environment all round the year, due to which many tourists come here for self catering holidays.

The main attractions of this place are the castle and Saint Peter’s Square, which are located on the top of the hill. Ruthin Gaol is a prominent attraction here, which was first used as prison and is now used as County Record Office, after several alteration and restoration.
