An attractive, 3 storey, 3 bedroom town house, a short stroll from the famous Lake Windermere that benefits from a town location and the proximity of restaurants and shops. The first of its stylish bedrooms is on 1st floor: 1 x king-size double whilst the remaining two, 1 x double and a twin, are on the 2nd floor. On the ground floor there is a large well equipped kitchen with breakfast area and an adjoining dining area occupying a light filled conservatory style space. A spacious, though cosy, sitting room with warming woodburning stove completes the ground floor. At the rear is a decked garden accessed from the dining area, with furniture and BBQ, perfect for alfresco dining.
Worth a visit are Ambleside (4½ miles) for the dramatic 70 foot drop waterfall, Stock Ghyll Force. A little further, in the white washed village of Hawkshead (8 miles), is the Beatrix Potter Gallery and the old grammar school attended by William Wordsworth. Grizedale Forest (8½ miles), has not to be missed wonderful walking trails and challenging mountain biking tracks. The "old man of Coniston" overlooks beautiful Coniston Water (12 Â½ miles), where you can take a trip on a steam yacht gondola and/or visit the lovely Brantwood, former home of John Ruskin.
