Hampshire's New Forest is one of England's newest national parks and is an area known for its heathland, forested areas, pretty villages and wild ponies.  If you enjoy walking to keep fit and for fun then you may want to visit this ancient forest for a self catering walking holiday where you can enjoy many a woodland or heathland walk.  Or enjoy strolling through one of the villages in the New Forest or one of the coastal towns.  You may even want to do a spot of horse riding but obviously not on the wild ponies!  Or may be some cycling, there are a number of bike hire shops in the New Forest.
