Any couples fond of unusual holiday homes would be drawn to the Bolt Hole. It appears to be a stone-built barn from the outside, but step over the threshold into a log cabin interior. As its name describes, it’s a cosy little place to escape to – for just the two of you.

Neat and compact inside, the open plan room contains a double bed fitted in at one end of the room. Watch the TV on the wall whilst in bed. The minimalist kitchen has a microwave hob for cooking, a toaster, kettle and an under-the-counter fridge and enough crockery for two. It’s all quite sweet and intimate. Sit on stools to eat or take your meals outside to eat in the garden in the fresh air. A BBQ provides the opportunity to grill a couple of steaks to eat with a salad or perhaps sausages for breakfast.

A shower room completes the accommodation. Staying here would certainly make for an unforgettable holiday with a difference.
