Ski lessons and ski hire are readily available during the skiing season. You can either ski in the town where your accommodation is, or if you have your own transport, try out the challenges of various ski slopes nearby. Discuss your requirements with the chalet or self-catering accommodation owners who will be able to advise on best places to ski to suit your family. The big ski resort is Zakopane, high in the Tatra Mountains. There are also ski slopes in Rabka Zdroj and many other towns in southern Poland.
