Henley-on-Thames, with its well-known Royal Regatta each July, is a picturesque town with a five arched bridge over the river. There are various pubs and inns with waterfront views overlooking the Thames - perfect spots for a Sunday lunch. The town has an olde-worlde feel due to the large number of period buildings - some going back to the 14th century. There are various walks in the surrounding wooded hills, including a circular walk.
