The historic town of Woodstock is 8 miles north of Oxford. It's an attractive town, home to many period buildings including the 17th century Oxfordshire Museum and 18th century Town Hall. The visitor attraction of Blenheim Palace, the home of the Duke of Marlborough, is nearby, as is the grave of Sir Winston Churchill in the village of Bladon.
