A popular seaside resort in it heydey, it's extremely quiet and undeveloped compared to Southend and other resorts along the coast. A good place to go for a walk, with views of the Thames estuary over the sea wall. A nature reserve with bird hides for watching water fowl lies to its north east. The road into Canvey Island is a little alarming due to the number of crosses marking fatal accident spots.

	The 5 star luxury apartment, which is self-contained and on two floors, forms part of Pump House, a large house in the country village of Great Burstead in the county of Essex. The village is close to Billericay - a small country town with strong US connections. London, Canterbury, Cambridge, Colchester and "Constable Country" can all be reached within an hour by road. There is a fast rail link to London (30 - 40 minutes), less than 1 hour from London. A regular bus service is available close by. Whilst a car is not essential, it would enhance your enjoyment.
