Mountainous Snowdonia is Wales' largest national park and covers about 845sq. miles of majestic scenery stretching all the way to Cardigan Bay. The landscape of mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes is cris-crossed with myriads of walks for people of all abilities. Mount Snowdon at 3560 feet is the highest mountain in Wales and the views from the peak are superb. A narrow gauge rack and pinion railway transfers the less energetic to the top.
