It is conveniently situated for the market towns of Harleston 4 miles, Diss 12 miles, Bungay 7 miles, Beccles which leads into the Norfolk Broads 12 miles, Halesworth 7 miles and Dunwich/ Southwold (the coast) some 10/15 miles distant. The Cathedral City of Norwich is about 22 miles to the north and Ipswich the county town of Suffolk approximately 25 miles to the south.
