Situated in the foothills of the Peneda National Park, this 200 year old granite quinta (farmhouse) is full of charm and set in its own grounds of more than two and a half acres offering superb views across the mountains to the beautiful valleys below. The Stone Barn is a large, (5 star)luxury eco barn conversion in its own private enclosed garden and courtyard, located at the heart of Beer Mill Nature Trails. Wi-fi available from September 2010.

The Stone barn sleeps up to 10 +2 in 5 bedrooms (3 kingsize - 2 with ensuite shower rooms, 1 with fold down sofabed for +2 and 2 twin rooms) All beds have quality pocket sprung mattresses and soft, totally organic bedlinen. There is a spacious feature bathroom and an additional large walk in shower/wc).

Trinity Cottage is nestled on the edge of the Somerset village of Roadwater within the Exmoor National Park. Surrounded by pretty, enclosed gardens, and it’s own field with hens and organic vegetable patch. The cottage is very peaceful with beautiful views across the wooded valley. Sleeps 8/9 with four bedrooms and three bathrooms and downstairs cloakroom. It is private and quiet, but a short walk to the village shop and an excellent village Inn serving excellent food, pet and children friendly. Doxford Farm is a 500 acre working farm situated amidst undulating, unspoilt wooded countryside, five miles from the coast. We offer comfortable family accommodation in the form of 8 stone built terrace cottages as well as the farmhouse annexe.

The farm has both arable and livestock enterprises and supports various conservation and environmental stewardship schemes. The cottages are located at the end of a no-through road, thus creating a safe and quiet environment for our guests. The lake holds brown trout and our guests are welcome to fly fish by arrangement with the estate manager. We have five miles of wooded and lakeside walks and trails for our guests to explore the farm and our diverse wildlife.

North Northumberland is abundantly supplied with places of interest. Dotted along the heritage coastline are the historic border castles of Warkworth, Dunstanburgh, Bamburgh and Lindisfarne found on Holy Island. In land there are many more castle such as Alnwick (Home to Harry Potter), Norham and Chillingham, also accessible are the great houses of Cragside and Wallington which are open to the public all year round, also the recently built Alnwick Gardens which are flourishing as it enters its final phases.

 All cottages are cosy and comfortable, kitchens are well equipped with electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezers and microwaves. All sitting rooms come with woodburning stoves (apart from Dairy Maids and Farmhouse Annexe) and flat screen TV's with digital channels as well as a DVD player.  All cottages have a private water supply from a natural spring and parking is available adjacent to each cottage.

Our new games room provides children an escape from parents and a chance to make new friends. The games room includes a pool table, table tennis, a desk for board games and a Television corner with sky + with all sports and movie channels. All guests are welcome to use the sky plus for sporting events.

The cottage is cosy with some of its walls of original Cotswold stone. It has its own little garden. Some windows overlook an apple and pear orchard. There is a comfortable sitting room with a view over the garden up to the hills and from the dining room one can see the Cheltenham Racecourse and stands in the distance. Up the little winding stairs are two bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with a double bed. The modern fitted kitchen has the normal facilities including electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and clothes washer/dryer. 

Our garden cottages have been created from some lovely old brick and tile farm buildings. They form an U shape around our gardens and overlook the most delightful countryside views.

They have been designed to a very high standard to reflect the quality guests expect today. All are fully equipped with high quality fittings and appliances.All of our kitchens have fridges, freezers, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, electric cookers and microwaves. Each sitting room has a colour television with freeview, a video or DVD and a CD player.

Each cottage is supplied with washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, bin liners and enough kitchen rolls to, at least, get you started.

Our rental charges include electricity, heating, linen, towels and VAT.

Arriving at the sandstone viaduct and gates of the private Cairnsmore Estate you immediately get that 'away from it all' feeling. A clear burn runs alongside the winding avenue that leads to Stable Cottage and ahead the hills and forests emerge as you approach the Courtyard archway to your destination.

The cottage was refurbished at the beginning of 2010 with several measures to improve guest’s comfort utilising renewable energy. The most important is the Geothermal underfloor central heating system with 24/7 hot water. Other improvements include a new bathroom (luxurious double ended bath with shower over), woodburning stove in the living room and Flagstone flooring throughout the main living areas that creates a "cosy cottage atmosphere."

5* Luxury Accommodation Welcome to the Logie Elphinstone Estate.

The guest wing of the house is available for holiday letting. Joined to the main house by the tower, with it’s own private entrance from the north lawn, it comfortably sleeps 8 in 5 bedrooms. The house, built in the 1670s, was completely restored in 2008-9 after a devastating fire in 1972 left much of it a ruin for the past 38 years.

Inside the property is spacious, warm and modern, while still retaining the feeling of it’s roots in Scottish centuries past.

Outside is a sheltered, enclosed courtyard which is simply beautiful, with deep borders of flowers, pots of herbs and vegetables in tubs. The six acres of lawn, gardens and ancient woodland, make a tranquil place for walking, picnics, fishing and relaxing. The main drive is lined with wild cherry trees and there are apple, plums, gooseberries, redcurrants, raspberries and pears for the taking. There is a trampoline and climbing frame for the children, tame free range chickens and a stable block.

The river Urie runs through the garden before joining the Don. It teems with brown trout and is rarely fished.The garden is frequented by red squirrel, deer, rabbits, heron and buzzards. Woodpeckers feed in the courtyard, owls perch on the tower at night and swallows nest in nearly every south facing upstairs window. Wagtails and swifts nest in the log stores and outhouses. Water vole are being re-introduced to the river and there are otters there already.

The house faces south,  has beautiful views over the foothills of Bennachie from the lawn and is about 5 miles from the Royal burgh of Inverurie. There are easy travel links by car from the A96, by air from Aberdeen Airport (18 miles) and by train from Inverurie (5 miles)

Kitchen

Fully fitted oak kitchen with 2 oven range, 5 ring hob, stainless dishwasher, American Fridge freezer and microwave. The dining table seats 10 on 2 pews. There is a 42” TV in the fireplace with Xbox 360 and DVD player. The outlook is over the courtyard to the south and the lawn to the north.

Utility room

The Utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer, plus worktop and cupboards, iron, ironing board and two original Belfast sinks. We supply bedding for dogs.

Lounge

The  lounge has a large log burning stove in an original inglenook fireplace and comfy sofas. 42" flat screen TV with Sky+ HD and an IPod stereo.

Master Bedrooms

There are two master bedrooms with king / super king-size beds. Both master bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with showers. Bedding in all 5 bedrooms is duck down and the sheets and towels are white cotton.

Logs, linen, oil, electricity, Sky+ is all included. Xbox 360 & Wii with games, DVDs, books.

There are gardens, lawns, an orchard and woods. Trampolines, climbing frame, swing, slides, sand pit, paddling pool, toys and games for the kids. There is a tree house and hidden gravestone on the island,

Award Winning Oakpond Cottages are situated near Whitchurch and only 10 minutes from the award winning canalside village of Audlem and its boating marina. There are two cottages: Oakpond sleeps 6  and Oaktree sleeps 2.  They are both warm and cosy with fantastic views from the romantic balcony and the large kitchen/diner which opens onto a large patio area. The cottages are ideal for couples and families who just want peace and quiet.
