The Gaolhouse is part of a converted former gaol in the market town of Thetford in Norfolk. The cottage has one double bedroom, one twin with an ensuite and a main family bathroom. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen, a dining room, a sitting room and a study with single bed and spiral stairs which lead to the former dungeon. Outside the cottage is a small enclosed courtyard with garden furniture. Boasting the original cell doors and a glass viewing slab in the floor allowing a glimpse into the dungeon, The Gaolhouse is an unusual and fascinating holiday cottage in a lovely part of East Anglia.
