Near Staffin there are fascinating rock formations and geological structures which are truly awe inspiring.  These places seem almost other worldly.  There is a picturesque viewing point just outside Staffin where you can read about the times that dinosaurs roamed these lands and look down over the steep cliff edge from behind the safety of the barrier and watch with awe and amazement.   Also nearby is the spectacular rock formation of the Quirang.  Keen hikers hike up to get to the top of this rock formation and enjoy fantastic views at the top.  The path is steep though and you really have to be in tip top shape to do the 3 mile hike although the views at the top on a good day are said to be spectacular.
