Book a romantic holiday for two at the Springs Timber Lodge two miles from the seaside resort of Ryde on the Isle of Wight.
This one bedroom all ground floor lodge is perfect for couples - its simple exterior belies the beauty within. Wood floors and extensive beaming create a harmonious airy feel to this holiday home. The studio accommodation is very well designed and incorporates a living and kitchen area with a sleeping section containing a king-size bed. The clean white and blue tiled wet room has a shower, square wash basin and a WC. A surround sound music system and ipod dock allows couples to bring their own playlists with them and relax in their own fashion.
There is more pleasure to be had outside in the garden. An open air heated swimming pool shared with the owner adds a little more pleasure all year round. Seating in the garden is a good spot for watching visiting wildlife. The Isle of Wight has red squirrels and an abundance of birds and wild animals.
The Isle of Wight holds many treats in store for visitors. The town of Ryde is also a ferry and hover port. It has beaches, an esplanade and numerous tourist attractions to keep summer visitors busy. The island is fairly compact and very easy to cross in a car or using one of the island buses. Ryde is on the north side of the island with views across the Solent . Within minutes, people can be at any one of various good beaches. Each seaside town has its own unique character and interesting to visit. Seaview to the east has a wide expanse of sandy beach, Bembridge on the east coast has a marina and boats. The beach there may not be as wonderful as some but it is covered with bright yellow evening primrose during the summer.
This lovely high quality lodge on the Isle of Wight is highly recommended as a holiday retreat for two.
