The property stands on a site next to one other holiday cottage, and is designed with an unorthodox upside-down theme. The ground floor contains all four bedrooms; a charming double bedroom with large French window onto outdoor patio area, a delightful twin room and two simple, clean singles. There is also a modern family bathroom with shower and toilet plus one separate shower and toilet facility. Upstairs is where the property really comes to fruition; the open-plan living area, with the cosy lounge leading onto the outdoor balcony with superb views over the Tamar Valley. The modern, well-equipped kitchen and wooden dining room table add to the properties features. Guests can enjoy the added bonus of a private hot tub.
Outside there is plenty of off-road parking and numerous shared facilities including both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, mini gym and tennis court. The owner also offers pay-as-you-go membership at the China Fleet Country Club.
This is an achingly beautiful part of Cornwall. The quaint village of Gunnislake is just a stone-throw away, lying on the steep banks of the River Tamar. Here, you could catch a train to Plymouth and explore the seaside city. If you'd prefer to stick to the countryside, there are peaceful woodland trails are available at Cotehele, a National Park Estate or you could head to Morwhellam Quay, the Victorian mining village used for the Edwardian Farm TV series.
