Looking for a country cottage that oozes charm and stands in a secluded tranquil part of north Cornwall just one mile from the beach? This rustic treasure is close to the coast sleeps up to seven people and offers holiday accommodation that dreams are made of.

Set off a country lane and surrounded by a large garden, Gooseham Mill House can sleep up to seven people. Aged exposed oak beams, oak and flagged floors are a feature of this character holiday cottage. A magnificent inglenook in the sitting room houses a wood burning stove which radiates warmth throughout this holiday home. This is just one of the living areas, there is also another sitting area with a piano and sofa where guests can play a few tunes, quietly read a book or catch up with what is happening in the world on their electronic devices because the house has Wi-Fi.

Fabulous country kitchen

The spacious kitchen has a heavily beamed ceiling, fitted oak units and granite worktops. A Rayburn creates a cosy setting for dining and relaxing over breakfast. A large antique table has seating for seven people, so that everyone can sit together and enjoy meals in this lovely north Cornwall cottage. French doors and windows offer views from the dining table out into the garden.

A large American-style fridge/freezer offers plenty of space for your holiday food, drinks and treats. There is a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer to take care of the everyday chores.

Upstairs to bed

Wooden stairs lead up to the four bedrooms. There is a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, another double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single. A cot can be made available to guests with a baby, also a high chair and stairgate.

This lovely Cornish holiday home has a family bathroom and a separate cloakroom in addition to the en-suite to the main bedroom.

The garden and patio are a delight

A patio with garden furniture stands at the back of this secluded cottage, in an elevated position overlooking the lawns and flower beds. Imagine summer barbeques and al-fresco dining on warm summer days. There is nothing to disturb in this rural retreat. A small stream trickles through the large garden and encourages butterflies and birds to visit.

A paved path leads past flower beds to a former barley mill which is a separate small cottage that is used as a games room. It is equipped with bean bags to sit on and is sure to be a favourite hideaway for the children. There is a DVD player, also board games to play. Various sports can be enjoyed in the garden with the family; there is an outdoor table tennis table, a badminton net, netball net and a croquet set. Your Cornish country holiday can be as relaxed or as active as you make it.

Footpaths from the cottage lead to the surrounding nature reserve and to small natural beaches about a mile away on the coast. Drive through the wild flower filled country lanes to Morwenstow and Duckpool Bay, or firther south to Bude.
