If you're looking for a quaint holiday cottage from which to explore Cornwall, you should consider staying at Slate Cottage. Tucked away in the Cornish countryside in a traditional hamlet, in a decidedly peaceful and serene setting, making this 1 bedroom holiday home a top choice for a country escape. It's an ideal choice for couples or indeed couples with a young child - it has one bedroom that comes with both a double bed and a single bed that can serve as a child’s bed or a day bed should you so wish; a travel cot is provided should you bring an infant with you.

Off the bedroom is a balcony that offers picturesque views of the surrounding area and comes with a set of furniture so you can relax and get some fresh air while enjoying the views. The stone cottage has an open-plan design downstairs with a well equipped kitchen, a tastefully decorated living area and a suitably cosy dining area. The interiors are warmly decorated and are bright and airy throughout the property. There’s enough space for one car to be parked off-road; the property does have a lawned garden, though it’s shared with the neighbouring property. You can bring up to two well behaved dogs with you when staying here.

A short drive away are several local pubs serving refreshing drinks and hearty meals prepared with local ingredients. Just over 10 minutes away is the mid-sized historic town of Bodmin and just over half an hour away is Bodmin Moor. It’s an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty known for its rugged and unspoiled mountain landscapes and is the highest part of the county, as well as the least populated.
