Spectacular views of Ardgroom Harbour, the Kenmare Bay and the surrounding Caha Mountains in the unspoiled and scenic Ring of Beara in West Cork - part of the Wild Atlantic Way. Sleeps up to 6. Explore the stunning countryside of South-West Ireland, throw in a round of golf, horse riding, fishing, hill walking, and relax in friendly Irish pubs. This Shorefront Farm Cottage is the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday away from the rough and tumble of life. This historic, coastal rental holiday home adjoins a pebble strand, and is a short walk to 2 small sandy beaches - from which Seals can sometimes be seen. Also see seashell along the strand and the beaches. Only 2 miles from Ardgroom Village for Pub (with Internet) Restaurant (Summer), and a Shop/Deli/Café - with Internet. Molly's Cottage has been recently refurbished to provide a lovely living environment for up to 6 guests. There are two open sleeping Lofts, the main Loft being over the Living Room with twin beds and a bunk bed. The second Loft is over the Sitting Room and had a double bed. the Loft's are separated by a stone wall. There is the additional option of a pull-out bed in the Sitting Room. The property is child-friendly with a travel cot, child bed, a child safety gate, and baby chair available if needed.
The Cottage has an open-plan living environment with a kitchen/living area. The kitchen offers a Cooker, Fridge, Microwave, Toaster, Electric Coffee Maker and Electric Kettle. Laundry facilities are available with a Washer, Dryer, Drying Rack, Clothes Line, Iron & Ironing Pad provided. There is a bathroom with shower. The Cottage is centrally heated, and there is an open Fireplace. Free Wi Fi, Radio, and CD Player
Adjacent to Molly's Cottage there is a small Annex with one bedroom, this property has a double bed as well as an inflatable child bed, a small bathroom with shower and a small kitchen area. The kitchen has a stove, fridge, sink, coffee maker and electric kettle. The Annex can be rented independently or in conjunction with the Cottage at an additional rent - thus sleeping up to 8 in total. Contact owners for rental rates.
Rental period is Saturday to Saturday, but we may be able to arrange other days. Check-in time is from 3pm to 9pm, and check-out time is before 11am, but we may be able to arrange other times. When booking, please indicate the number of people, indicating adults and children.
Rent: July-August is 525 to 650 Euro per week, depending on which week. Other months are from 300 Euro per week. Booking deposit is 30% of rent. We will hold your reservation for 7 days pending receipt of deposit. Balance of payment is due 6 weeks prior to your stay. Payment is in Euro via bank transfer. Terms and conditions for rental of the Annex are the same as those for rental of the Cottage.
Bed linen and towels are provided. Final cleaning of the Cottage and final washing of towels and bed linen are included in the rent. Electricity and Heating Oil are extra based on the extent of usage - normally in the 25 to 40 Euro range per week and payment is at end of stay when the meters are read.

Directions to the Cottage: From Ardgroom Village continue to Ardgroom Inward for 2 miles, and the Cottage is on the right hand side on elevated ground 150 yards past Pallas Pier - also on the right hand side. The Cottage is 50 yards back from the public road.

Eyeries Village 5 miles away also has a Restaurant. Kenmare, 22 miles away, has many restaurants and cafes. Castletownbere also has some restaurants, cafes, and several pubs that serve food, including the historic McCarthys Bar. Some of the pubs also have live music. Castletownbere has a Tourist Office, bank, a supermarket - including a fish shop, and many other shops. Activities/Amenities/Road Trips - There are 6 Golf Courses within a 12 to 40 mike range of the Cottage. The Cottage is 150 yards from Pallas Pier, which is used by fishing and recreation boats. Short walk two 2 small sandy Beaches - from which Seals can sometimes be seen (from the Strand in front of the Cottage turn left for a few hundred yards, then turn right on to a small peninsula and Beaches are on the East side). On the way, see Seashells along the Strand and Beaches. On the Farm see Cows, Calves and Rabbits. Sea/Rock Fishing, Caves, and Hill Walking oppertunities are also closeby. A short distance to the beautiful Beara Way Walking Trail - on the Wild Atlantic Way. The Trail runs along cliffs that overlook the shorefront, and from which there is a panaramic view of the Kenmare Bay and the Kerry Mountains stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to Kenmare Town. Fresh Water Fishing in Glenbeg Lake 3 miles away. Castletownbere is a picturesque fishing port, from which there is also leisure Deep Sea fishing. There is Horse Riding and a Riding School in Urhan about 6 miles away (past Eyeries Village). There are unique Gardens in two picturesque locations, both by the seaside - Lauragh, Co. Annual Events: Each year, in the first week of August there is a Festival in Castletownbere which includes a Regatta, Outdoor Music, Children's Carnival, and other activities. The Annual Allihies Festival is held in mid August, and includes Horse Racing, Sports Competitions and Music. The Eyeries Village Annual Family Festival is held in mid July. In Kenmare, there are also Festivals during July and August.
