How difficult can it be to find a holiday cottage in Wales where two dogs are permitted to stay?

Lots of Welsh holiday homes are described as dogs-welcome but the number soon begins to fall off when searching for a cottage that allows two dogs or more.  Very dog-friendly holiday homes do exist in Wales and can be found in all settings. As one would expect, a rural holiday home on a Welsh hillside is more likely to allow guests to bring more than one dog because of the acres of countryside around it. There are always concerns about dogs off lead in Welsh rural areas because of the large numbers of sheep and these are allowed to roam free.

Most dog owners are very responsible and although it is tempting to allow dogs off lead, especially on holiday, one has to be aware of local conditions. Coastal paths are excellent for walks with dogs and Wales has one of the longest unbroken coastal paths around Cardigan Bay. That provides plenty of scope for places to look for holiday cottages.

The Welsh national parks are superb for holidays with a couple of dogs, there are hosts of walks through meadows and woodland.

View the holiday home sin Wales that permit guests to bring two dogs with them and decide which suits you best.
