Berwickshire in southern Scotland, an area of gentle wooded landscape rising to rounded hills, is at odds with its violent history, which saw numerous clashes between Scots and English as its ruined castles and abbeys testify. Known as the borders this area offers fishing on the river system of the river Tweed which forms a natural border between England and Scotland. Major tributaries including the Teviot, Till, Ettrick and Whiteadder provide a wealth of beautiful settings in which to enjoy your self catering fishing holiday.

The river Tweed is a classic Salmon river famous for its early and late running Salmon. There is also Trout fishing in the area, both on the Whiteadder tributary -  noted for its Brown trout - and St Marys loch, where you can fish from the bank or drift loch style for wild Brown Trout against the backdrop of the heather covered hills.

Self-catering accommodation including coastal and fishermen's cottages or cottages near places for sea, river or loch fishing.
