    Holiday Cottages in Blakeney

If you are thinking about renting a self-catering holiday home on your next break with loved ones, then Blakeney in Norfolk is a brilliant choice. There are many different kinds of cottage to rent depending on the type of trip you are after, such as pine lodges nestled within a forest, cottages with decking and garden furniture in a private outdoor space so that you can sunbathe or read in peace, and ones with a swimming pool or a hot tub for a bit of added luxury. If you wish to rent coastal accommodation on your break, then the seaside near the village of Blakeney in northern Norfolk has plenty to choose from.

Stay in a beautiful natural area in Norfolk

Blakeney is a quaint village that is perfect for outdoor lovers. It is set within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has its own National Nature Reserve with sprawling views over the stunning coastline. If you like walking, then the North Norfolk Coastal Path passes by here and so you can spot the wildlife along this path before stopping for a seaside picnic or for a bite to eat in a local café.

Visit the seals at Blakeney Point during your holiday

If you want to explore a little further afield, then you might want to take a boat trip with your family and friends to Blakeney Point. From here, you can visit seal colonies and watch as the grey seals rest with their pups. This is a National Nature Reserve as it is home to the largest seal colony in England, with around two thousand seal pups being born every year. If you love animals and wildlife, then visiting here is a must.

Blakeney is a good destination for couples interested in history

For history lovers, you might want to take a visit to the English Heritage site of Blakeney Guildhall which is home to the remains of the house of a rich merchant local to the area. It features a well-preserved 15th century brick-vaulted under croft and is well worth the visit if you are renting holiday accommodation for two in Blakeney.  Another interesting place to visit is St Nicholas Church on the outskirts of the village. The church has two towers, is a prominent landmark in the area and was built between the 13th and 15th centuries.

    North Norfolk breaks

Blakeney is the perfect spot to reside in for those wishing to explore the beauty of north Norfolk, and renting a holiday cottage is the best way to discover the delights of the coast whilst feeling like a local to the area. You can choose to stay somewhere right on the shore with sea views to wake up to each morning, or perhaps you’ll prefer to reside in the heart of the village. After a day of exploring Blakeney, you will enjoy having a welcoming holiday cottage to come home to and relax in with your friends and family.
