Our 3 bedroom holiday home is set in a secluded woodland area on the outskirts of the village of Jesus Pobre, close to the wilds of the Parc Natural de Montgo in Valencia, Eastern Spain. It is in an elevated position with views of the sea. A holiday in this part of Spain offers good walking routes in the nearby national park with fabulous views, especially along the canyons and dry river valley of Barranc de la Hiedra and through the ancient olive groves. People come to go hiking, mountain climbing and canyoning in this rocky and wooded wilderness. Ideal for anyone who likes to enjoy to Spain's milder climate for winter breaks or the challenges of the landscape, our home is a welcoming base for breaks of a few day to weeks of winter escape to the sun.

February is a good time for a walking holiday and the scent of flowering citrus trees is amazing. However, if a gentle ramble is more your thing and you would just like to stay to enjoy winter blue skies and see oranges and lemons ripening on the trees then you would be most welcome.
Amateur photographers would love staying here. A few walks and a little exploration would lead to sparkling waterfalls and an abundance of wild flowers. There is plenty of wildlife to capture in photographs. Many an artist has found inspiration whilst on holiday here.
Very family oriented holiday home
We have an outdoor swimming pool that is a blessing during hot summer months when the sun shines constantly. This holiday home would be perfect for families with children; kids would have great fun swimming and splashing. The pool gets warmed by the sun in the summer.
The house is down a track away from traffic noise but with a vibrant village on the doorstep where there are shops selling ice cream and plenty to see and do. Should you wish to spend some time on the beach, take the children to long stretch of sand at Javea.
About our 3 bedroom holiday accommodation in Valencia
The accommodation is over two levels of a traditional Spanish finca. Much of the living space is open-plan to keep it bright and airy. The large kitchen dining area also has a bar where guests are welcome to store their own Rioja and Cava. There is a TV, DVD and sound system in the lounge for those times when you just want to relax.
The house is simple and unpretentious, colourful and comfortable. A fireplace in the lounge adds extra cosiness during the cooler winter evenings.
Two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom accommodate six people. The style of furnishings is rural and easy. There are two bathrooms; a downstairs one is a shower room with toilet. Upstairs is a bathroom with a shower and WC.
The swimming pool is situated on the terrace at the top of the house. This is a sheltered spot for sunbathing and surveying your holiday domain. Views extend along the valley and down to the coast.
We would like to welcome you to come and stay at our house of 'three windmills'. Beds are freshly laundered and prepared for your arrival. Nights are tranquil with dark skies and little to disturb. There is an optional welcome pack of local bread, milk and tea for a small additional fee.

Guests are welcome to bring dogs on holiday with them. A plethora of paths and trails ensure many hours of happy walkies for everyone.
A traditional bakery in the village produces mouthwatering cakes and bread. Take a walk into the village to buy some warm and straight from the oven on a daily basis.
Tourist literaure can be found at the house whuch has flora and fauna guides to this area between the towns of Denia and Javea. Read about possible walks, mountain biking routes, horse riding, local markets and shopping.

Recommended Attractions near Jesus Pobre: The marina and fishing port of Javea is the place to head for to mingle with locals walking and socialising along the promenade in the evenings. A string of cafes offer pleasant places to sit and enjoy a drink or ice cream. As one would expect the local fish dishes are highly recommended. It is also possible to buy fish directly from the fishing boats in the harbour to take back to the holiday home and barbecue. Children like to throw pebbles from the beach into the sea or go for a paddle. The mountains and ridges of the natural park present serious climbers with a few challenges, scale the heights of Subida al Montgó to be rewarded by far reaching views of the Gulf of Valencia. The town of Denia snuggles into the coast. A busy port and naturally lively town greets and says farewell to the ferries that ply to and from from the Balearic islands.
Good places to visit near Jesus Pobre: The beaches of Costa Blanca are within reach by car for days out. The beautiful beaches of Javea are only 15 minutes away and Denia is half and hour.More about the Location:
Annual Events: The local fiesta season begins seven weeks after Easter. Expect a riot of food, colour and fireworks.
Good places to eat near Jesus Pobre: There are three bars in the village of Jesus Pobre, two of which serve food, although with a house rental, simply buy your fresh ingredients and cook the kind of food you prefer to eat of you wish. A couple of restaurants are also there to tempt you with Spanish specialities. The narrow streets have overhanging balconies and ornate wrought iron grilles - all very Spanish and always interesting to explore. In summer they are filled with pots of geraniums and the luminous coloured bougainvillea.
