Magdalen Cottage sleeps 2 people in a very large bedroom with the option of accommodating another 2 in the adult bunk bed. A stunning, comfortable and spacious farm cottage, which is very well equipped and provides all the modern essentials, such as a Nespresso Machine and free Ultrafast WiFi! There is a LCD TV featuring Freeview and a DVD. There is also a Bluetooth stereo. Open-Plan Living and Dining Area, with chunky, wooden, English farmhouse furniture throughout. The bedroom has recently been re-decorated with beautiful Vanessa Arbuthnott prints, designs and fabrics and the beds are made up with 5* luxury 100% Egyptian cotton linen. The pretty bathroom features a bath with an overhead shower.
All bathrooms are provided with a selection of indulgent ‘Faith In Nature’ toiletries.
You will receive some ‘Welcome Goodies’ on arrival, which will include the basics such as tea, coffee, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, nespresso pods, salt and pepper and a few treats such as home-made bread, our legendary brownies and marmalade and some fresh eggs from our very own free range hens and ducks!
Oxford Country Cottages is a collection of 4 * Gold rated charming rural cottages, located right at the end of the picturesque village of Noke. The cottages individually sleep from between 2 to 7 people, with the option being available of hiring out all the cottages and accommodating a maximum of 24 people.
The cottages all have individual patio areas with chunky, wooden garden furniture and are situated around our stunning Courtyard Garden, which features a Jacuzzi Hot Tub, a BBQ area, a Wendy House full of toys for children and Table Tennis in the warmer months!!
Our Farm Shop is located in the corner of the Courtyard Garden and is well stocked with most essentials, some luxuries and a selection of locally sourced, organic produce from neighbouring farms.
Oxford Country Cottages backs onto the beautiful 1000-acre Wetland Reserve of RSPB Otmoor - offering wonderful walks on the doorstep and some stunning sites such as Starling Murmurations, Lapwings, Canadian Geese and Boxing Hares in the Spring time!Noke is a secluded, rural retreat, yet it is located only 5 miles from the Centre of historic Oxford with all it has to offer and Bicester Village, Blenheim Palace, the Cotswolds and Shakepeares Stratford are all within easy reach. London and Birmingham are only an hour away.
We are the perfect location for a romantic get-away, yet we also cater extremely well for families and are pet friendly. Cots and High-Chairs are available free of charge and each cottage is well equipped for children, with more toys, DVD's and games available in the Farmhouse if the selection in the Wendy House and Farm Shop should not suffice! Daily feeding of our small animal menagerie takes place at 9am everyday, where you can join in feeding our pigs - Pumba and Pinka, the chickens and ducks and meet Gusty, the miniature donkey - just ring the bell at the Farmhouse Gate to tag along!
