Halesowen is a town situated in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, West Midlands, England. Located 15 km south-west of Birmingham, Halesowen lies in the Black Country, which is often considered as made of the three Metropolitan Boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall and of the City of Wolverhampton. Haloesowen houses Halesowen Town Football Club, one of the oldest English football clubs.

Halesowen was traditionally known for nail making. The town also houses a large number of above and underground coal mines. With the arrival of a junction of the motorway network, Halesowen has been able to attract a number of large organisations to the town.

Halesowen is the home of some of the historic landmarks. One of them is Leasowes Park, one of the first natural landscape gardens in England. The garden was designed by poet William Shenstone, and is now Grade One Listed, as it is of national importance.

The authorities rebuilt most of Halesowen in the 1960s and created a modern shopping area which had a new library, supermarkets and shops centred around the Cornbow Centre. This was refurbished in the late 1980s to create a covered shopping area. The town also houses numerous options for self-catering accommodations for the tourists.
