A warm welcome awaits you at Barn End - a spacious cottage set in mature grounds near Bath and furnished to a high standard: fully equipped with ample parking and an Aga. It is part of a 300 year old converted barn which was originally a stable barn for working horses on the former Manor Farm.
Barn End is close to the heart of the charming conservation village of Biddestone in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is a village pub which serves food and there are a wide range of eating places available within a few miles. The historic local town, Corsham, with a good range of traditional shops, is two miles away.
Biddestone is situated on the SE edge if the Cotswolds with its pale golden stone that makes the village so warm and distinctive. The centre boasts of gracious houses and cottages around a village green and duckpond.
We are within easy reach of the Georgian City of Bath, designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site which has a Park and Ride situated very conveniently for Biddestone.
Whatever your interests, we are ideally placed for exploring the Cotswolds, Wiltshire and Somerset, Nearby are the delightful villages of Castle Combe and National Trust village of Lacock. Archeological interests can be met with Ancient Monuments such are Stone Henge, Avebury Stone Circles and the famous Wiltshire Hillside White Chalk Horses.
In this beautiful historic area there are numerous Gardens, Nurseries and Country Houses to visit as restrictions ease. The woods and fields in the nearby Bybrook Valley provide a variety of shade and gentle walks. If you yearn to shop, Bath is renowned for its many exciting specialist shops and there is a big Designer Outlet Shopping Centre at Swindon. A Farm Shop, Sainsburys, Morrisons and Lidl are all under 15 minutes drive from the Cottage.
Children are welcome; a cot and high chair are available. We have an Holistic Massage Therapist available at the Cottage if you need some gentle holiday relaxation or issues such as sport injury problems.
We normally offer weekly holidays from Friday each week but long weekends and midweek breaks can also be arranged.
