Glenealo Valley is a short drive down the R756 from Hollywood. It is well worth going to the Spink viewing spot for spectacular views over Glendalough down the valley. Take the children to visit the miner’s village and mine that stand on the northern side of the lake for a look back in time. The Wicklow Mountains National park is also an excellent place for outdoor activities to keep a family busy.

 

Hollywood is just under an hour’s drive from Dublin so that a day out in the city is still feasible.

County Wicklow is a superb rural holiday destination. Find a country overlooking the Wicklow kills and Kings River.
