Perched on high, in a peaceful hamlet less than 10 miles from Aberdeen, this 2 bedroom pet-friendly holiday cottage benefits from amazing views of the rural and coastal landscape. It would suit a family/group of four; is beautifully decorated and furnished throughout in warm colours. It is next to the main house, and is perfectly placed for adventures in North-east Scotland.

The open plan living area is inviting and consists of a smart kitchen with a full range of appliances; an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, with a dining area alongside. In the sitting area there is an attractive, comfortable sofa and an armchair arranged around a coffee table with a large wall mounted TV, ideal for a family film night.

There is a ground floor bathroom with bath (shower over), basin and WC and two well-appointed bedrooms on the first-floor. The master bedroom has a double bed, and access via 2 steps, to a balcony with table and chairs. Sit out on the balcony and soak up those fabulous views. The other bedroom has twin beds, possibly for the younger members of the group.

For the evening after a day's trekking around Stonehaven's Dunnottar Castle, it is good to know that Cammachmore has a super seafood restaurant. Alternatively on your way home, stop off in Newtonhill at one of the pubs or pick up a ready-meal at the convenience store, to eat in the garden.

The City of Aberdeen is just under 10 miles away. Admire the architecture of old Aberdeen, walk the beach, visit Duthie Park's beautiful winter garden, one of Europe's largest, or visit Aberdeen Art Gallery and Maritime Museum.
