Located a stone’s throw from the St. Abb’s Head National Nature Reserve is this traditional fisherman’s cottage that’s ideal for anyone with an interest in the great outdoors. This stone-built, semi-detached property can comfortably accommodate five people in its three bedrooms and would be a good choice for couples, families and groups of friends, though note that dogs and other pets aren’t allowed. One of the property’s best features is its proximity to the coast, with the beach only a few minutes’ walk away.
Step inside this self-catering property and you’ll find a nicely presented living room with an open fire, as well as a fully fitted kitchen with dining area. The three bedrooms are each arranged differently: there’s a single, a double and a twin. The property has a single bathroom with a shower bath and WC. A range of books, games and DVDs are available, plus there’s free Wi-Fi. The cottage is pleasant and easy on the eye throughout and its peaceful location is ideal for anyone wanting to relax and take things a bit more slowly.
The scenic and laid-back fishing village of St. Abbs is a wonderful place to visit for anyone who admires coastal scenery and enjoys walking or cycling. This location is particularly handy as not only is there a coastal path right beside it, the cottage is just four miles from the A1, which makes exploring the wider area a lot easier. Close by is the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, known for its distinctive bridges, sandy beaches, crumbling town walls and its plentiful shopping opportunities. A bit closer by there’s a shop just two minutes’ walk away and a pub about 25 minutes’ walk away.
