This former chapel has been lovingly converted into a Grade II listed cottage and is located in the village of Penallt in Monmouthshire, Wales. Sleeping up to 4 guests in 2 superb bedrooms, both of which are double rooms with en-suite showers, the cottage is great for two couples that are looking to go on a holiday together in the Welsh countryside.
The cottage features a big open-plan living area on the ground floor complete with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. The original stone flag floors give the cottage a lot of character, while the ornate wrought iron spiral staircase leads to the bedrooms on the upper floor. A wood burner in the sitting area will keep you and your guests warm and cosy and there is a garden and patio area outside complete with furniture, perfect for relaxing on warm summer days.
If you fancy a night out, head down to the local pub just a short walk from the cottage or drive to the nearby town of Monmouth, home to many restaurants and cafes. Your days can be spent exploring the many walking paths in the surrounding areas such as The Offa's Dyke and there are many activities on offer like golf and fishing in the spectacular Royal Forest of Dean. Having your own country cottage to return to after a long day on your feet is a feeling like no other.
