Are you searching for somewhere to stay in the Peak District that is comfortable and can accommodate 8-9 people?
Orchard View is a Grade II listed stone-built farmhouse in Parwich,near the Dovedale National Nature Reserve in the Peak District. This semi-detached typical Derbyshire cottage has been developed into a holiday home of a high standard. The main sitting room and snug both have oak beamed ceilings and a woodburner and open fire for extra cosiness when relaxing at home. This is the type of cottage that suggests creature comforts and has a certain olde worlde style in the sitting areas.
The contemporary oak kitchen is spacious with plenty of storage space and a dining table at one end. A dishwasher makes easy work of breakfast dishes on holiday and there are the usual appliances such as a fridge for storing wine and beer and a freezer to avoid too much shopping during your holiday.
A treat awaits fans of four poster beds upstairs. The double bedroom has a four poster with romantic muslin drapes. The king-size bedroom has a beamed and vaulted ceiling plus an en-suite shower room. There is a single bedroom and a family bedroom which contains three single beds and a pull out stacker bed. The family bathroom has a bath with a shower over plus there is a useful groundfloor cloakroom with WC.
This house suits family living. Children would enjoy the snooker table and table football in the garage and the Wendy House. There is plenty of space to play in the garden. There is a barbecue which would be a blessing on hot summer days with everyone sitting out in the garden enjoying lunch al-fresco in the sunshine.
There is plenty of parking for up to three vehicles beside the cottage which is a blessing in the popular Peak District National Park. One dog is welcome.
There is a local pub for a night out. The Peak District has so much in store for visitors, thousands of walks across fields where sheep nibble the grass and calmly stare, trickling ice cold brooks that children love to paddle in, caves galore, dams and traffic free cycling, enduring stone-built villages such as Hartington, Bakewell and towns of Ashbourne (7 miles distant) and bustling Matlock where tourists gather for events, shops and eateries.
