Whether you like forest bathing, ambling around market towns (Uttoxeter and Ashbourne are both nearby), or possibly would like to rediscover your inner child (Alton Towers), all this is achievable from Little Gem.

Or perhaps you are two couples who just want to chill out and enjoy relaxing in a countryside location.

Little Gem is in a lovely idyllic location to enjoy drawn out meals with wine, of course, either in the dining area, or on the patio outside. Cook new or trusted recipes, in the attractive grey and blue kitchen, using the electric oven and induction hob. The dishwasher will deal with the dishes.

Savour a relaxing 30 minutes or so, lounging in the hot tub on the patio at the rear of the property. As the stars fade and night draws in, it's time to test out those sofas in the living area. As you pit a pat to your favourite seat, notice the warmth of the underfloor heating and the glow from the woodburning stove. For those who like nothing better than a spot of TV this is the place.

If you like watching a late-night film before dropping off to sleep, it’s best to choose the king-size bedroom as it has a Smart TV. There is a further equally lovely, double size bedroom. Both rooms have en-suite shower rooms.

There is a shop in Marchington just over a mile away, and a country pub for when you don't fancy cooking.

Take a tour of The National Brewery Centre in Burton upon Trent, followed by an evening at one of the many riverside bars and eateries.
