Aldridge is a small yet beautiful town situated within the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall, in the West Midlands, England. The town was earlier a part of Staffordshire, a landlocked county in the West Midlands region of England. In 1974, the town was included in the Walsall borough as well as the West Midlands County.
Historically, Aldridge was an industrial town famous for its coal mines and lime kilns. After the Second World War it was turned into a dormitory town or suburb of Birmingham, to accommodate the growing population.
