A square brick-built property with a small terrace at the front, this holiday home stands in the West Yorkshire town of Thornton between Halifax and Keighley. A stay here will appeal to those who like the convenience of staying in a town that has shops and eateries on the doorstep. A few minutes’ drive would take you into the Yorkshire countryside. The lovely Yorkshire Dales lie twelve miles north and offer some of the most stunning scenery and welcoming villages in northern England.

The Coach House is a three bedroom, one bathroom pet-friendly holiday let. The décor is contemporary and practical. Rooms are well proportioned and there are blinds on all ground floor windows for privacy.

The upstairs bedrooms consist of a kingsize, a double and a single bedroom. A desk and chair situated on the upper landing could be the perfect spot for a laptop or just somewhere to read. Behind the desk is an arched stained glass window that looks out onto the street below. A proper bath stands in the modern family bathroom. It has an overhead shower and a glass screen.

The sitting room downstairs is minimalistic in design. An electric log-fire style heater adds glow and warmth. Smart leather type sofas are arranged around a coffee table to face the television.

The town of Thornton features mainly brown brick buildings. There is a Co-Op supermarket and a scattering of shops that would satisfy anyone’s needs during a self-catering holiday.

There is much to do in Yorkshire. Ever popular Haworth with its Bronte sisters heritage is just over 6 miles away.

Any fans of the BBC drama 'Last Tango In Halifax' could visit the film locations such as the Calder Valley, the town of Halifax, Sowerby Bridge, Ripponden and Elland.
