Hiking along the Pennine Way in the hills that run up the centre of the Midlands from the Peak District northwards is a joy to some. If you are looking for somewhere to stay near the Pennines, a selection of cottages and lodges is available to rent with self-catering facilities. This type of arrangement tends to suit hikers and hiking groups very well because they can make their own packed lunches to take out for the day and either cook or go to the pub in the evenings. The accommodation allows for informality and some cottages are fully prepared for muddy boots and wet gear by the provision of drying rooms.

Cottage bookings tend to be whole weeks in the peak season, short breaks can be booked out of season. Find somewhere to stay and organise that hiking holiday to the Pennines. May the sun shine every day and the rain fall elsewhere.
