Wnion Wood is located amongst a small group of unique log cabins, nestled on three sides by woodland, as you are hidden from the outside world in a very peaceful rural location of North Wales. With its two bedrooms, a king-size and two singles (which can be made into a super-king), it is ideal for two couples, or families of 4 People plus a baby.
The rear, terraced garden area with its table and bench seating, provides an enjoyable, secluded place for a quiet outdoor meal or barbeque, and is backed by natural woodland, and a pastoral, green pasture with stone walls.
Wnion Wood is fitted to a high standard, with furnishings that feel like a true home from home. The kitchen includes contemporary fitments and desirable appliances, which make for a very comfortable self-catering experience. There is an HD Sony TV, HiFi, Blu-ray player and satellite FreeView recorder with Mission tower speakers in the living room for your entertainment. The bedrooms are designed for comfort, too. Recommended Attractions near Brithdir: Dolgellau sits at the foothills of Cadair Idris, the second most popular mountain in Wales in southern Snowdonia National Park, where at its summit youíll see the beautiful lake, Llyn Cau, and with its steep banks, the stunning lake is rumoured to be bottomless. One of its main attractions is itís much quieter than Mount Snowdon, which can be like the M25. WALKING: three very local walks. First, the breath-taking Torrent Walk (begins only a 0.5 mile walk from the cabin). Second, the Mawddach Trail, which runs along the length of the beautiful Mawddach Estuary. Bikes are OK and can be hired in Dolgellau. The Trail is 9.5 miles in length between Dolgellau and the seaside town of Barmouth. The start is 2 miles away. The George III hotel and pub, within eyeshot of the picturesque Penmaenpool Toll Bridge, is 2 miles down the first section, and it does food and drinks for those who like a stroll. Third, and not for the faint hearted is the Precipice Walk 4 miles away, but the lake area before the main route is amazing in itself. WALKING and BIKING: Coed-y-Brenin forest is renowned for its fantastic forest trails for mountain biking. Ten miles from the lodge, you have Cardigan Bay: with Barmouth to the north and Tywyn to the south -- the coastal views are stunning in both directions with a lot to see. STEAM TRAINS all around. Good places to visit near Brithdir: Dolgellau is set in the middle of a microcosm of attractions on the doorstep, either quite local or further afield. Mountains, hills, lakes, rivers, beaches and steam trains, all set in a stunning backdrop. The area is well-known for its highly scenic walks, and it's a dog walker's paradise as well. If youíre the adventurous type there is a lot to see and do. Or, if youíre the chill-out type, the Lodge is located in a just stunning backdrop of quiet relaxing scenery.More about the Location:
