A charming semi-detached holiday cottage sleeping up to 4 people based in the rural hamlet of Calwich, at the Southern end of the Peak District National Park. Ideal for a small family or couple, the cottage overlooks beautiful rolling Derbyshire countryside, which makes it a fantastic location for a rural retreat.
Maintaining some of its original features, the lounge is a wonderful space to sit back and relax after a long day taking in the remote countryside. The brick-built fireplace with a toasty woodburner is perfect for a cooler evening and the oak beams add some character to the room. There is a small kitchen, with round dining table, which is well-equipped. There are two double bedrooms; one with an en-suite and the other unusually sporting a roll-top bath at the end of the bed.
Outside, the cottage boasts a lovely garden and a brick wall to sit on when drinking your morning coffee. Garden furniture and off-road parking for 2 cars is available.
Calwich is an ideal destination for those who enjoy the outdoors and there are many footpaths to enjoy long scenic walks. One may like to head over to the picturesque town of Ashbourne and wander the narrowed cobbled streets lined with an array of quirky shops and family-friendly pubs. Carsington Water with its adventure rock climbing and cycling is only 20 minutes' drive away, as is the popular theme park Alton Towers.
